While at first I had trouble communicating with my chef, Kirsten, Kitchit customer service redeemed itself and came through in the end by offering two different chefs and menus for the party (for my boss, which options are great for him). I was very impressed with the way Kirsten followed up on the day, making sure that the venue would be prepped for her arrival, and she was very friendly and helpful the entire time. Overall, a great experience.

Kirsten was wonderful. She was so great during the planning process, accommodating our need for some dishes to be gluten free, and my father's request for an enormous steak.
She chatted with us while she prepped for everything - even providing a little insight into the scotch my dad was enjoying. She patiently answered all our questions about how she made certain dishes. Her meal perfectly complemented the way our family likes to celebrate and her personality fit right in with us. At the end I felt like she should have been sitting at the table with us!
She seems totally at ease working in our small kitchen, and timed every course perfectly. She definitely left my kitchen cleaner than when she arrived, and she inspired us to start using the cast iron skillet to cook delicious steak!

I hosted a small intimate dinner for my fiance's 35th birthday. Kirsten prepared the an amazing dinner for 15 with all of the birthday boy's favorite foods... cashews, breadpudding, meat & chocolate, plus our guests' diet restrictions... meat only, fish only, veg only, gluten free & wine free. Eclectic, but she totally made it work and all of the dishes were incredible!
We also had friends stop by early b/c their sitter had cancelled. When Kirsten found out they couldn't stay, she prepared everything for them early so they could still experience the dinner! So sweet of her!
At the end of the night, Kirsten & her sous chef left the kitchen & floor spotless, loaded the dishwasher & washed all of the platters, etc by hand. It was really thoughtful & allowed us to enjoy the evening.

Kirsten really saved us by cooking and serving a beautiful Christmas Eve dinner (guests raved on and on about her perfectly dressed and seasoned salad, her delicious arancini and her outrageous hand made butternut squash agnolotti). After dinner, Kirsten did the most amazing thing ever: she cooked an entire Christmas dinner for 20 people and left it in the refrigerator for us to simply reheat and serve the next day! The dinner reheated very nicely and all of our guests were quite happy with the yummy results, even asking for recipes for certain dishes. We really enjoyed the leftovers too. Kirsten was a pleasure to have in our home and displayed grace under pressure, as well as some serious endurance! After moving into our new home just a week prior to this event, with two small children and complete chaos all around us, Kirsten was very patient with my poor level of communication leading up to the event and following the event. She is truly a pleasure.

We hosted a holiday party for 4 of my college friends and their husbands. Kirsten Goldberg exceeded our expectations. She was extremely organized, professional, easy to work with, and let us enjoy the night without being pressured for time. The food was delicious and extremely festive. We'd definitely hire her again for another dinner party.

Once again, Kristen came to the rescue when my husband decided to invite three friends over for dinner two days hence and then asked, innocently, "It won't be a problem, will it?" Of course, with Kristen in my corner, it was not a problem at all. This is the third Kitchit event that Kristen has cooked for us, and each meal is creatively planned, beautifully presented, and divinely delicious. I love how Kristen never seems to miss a beat. When she offered to make hamachi but couldn't find any in the store, I asked, "How about ahi poke?" "Sure!" was her reply, as usual. Also, when she asked about dessert and suggested something with chocolate, I confessed that I am the only female on the planet who doesn't die for chocolate. "How about pineapple upside down cake?" I asked. Kristen's reply? "No problem!". And, my absolutely favorite moment was when Kristen called to say that she would be late, since she had to run to the market to pick up a few things, and she asked "Oh, and do you need me to pick up anything for you at the store, since I'm going there anyway?" Now, that's over-the-top service. Simply incredible...

We initially hired Kirsten for a dinner that we were hosting, to meet and get to know my husband's business partner's new girlfriend. Because I wanted to spend time getting to know the partner's girlfriend, I didn't want to spend all of my time in the kitchen. Kitchit to the rescue, once again! Kirsten worked with me for several days to come up with a menu that reflected everyone's dining preferences, and she was flexible and accommodating throughout the entire process. On the day of the event, we received a late notice that the girlfriend (i.e., the special guest) would not be able to attend. We found someone to take her spot. When Kristen arrived, I told her about the last minute switch, and she took everything in stride. Dinner was meticulously prepared, plated beautifully, and tasted beyond delicious. Plus, when the girlfriend showed up right before dessert, Kristen presented her with a dessert plate, as though she had been expected all along. Kristen never missed a beat!

I adore Kirsten, and would have her cook for us in a heartbeat. She was friendly, approachable, laid back, but confident and all-business in the kitchen. Kirsten definitely knows food, and how to prepare it extremely well, without anything feeling “overdone”. I particularly appreciated that nothing phased her, including my two kids coming into the kitchen for dinner and sitting right in the middle of Kirsten’s work and prep space, and my husband picking up a piece of cheese from Kirsten’s artfully arranged cheese platter and popping it in his mouth as I screamed noooooooooo!!!!!!
A very satisfied “two thumbs up” for Kirsten…
