KITCHIT CONFIDENTIAL
Chef Kirsten Goldberg offers a perfect balance of refined, technique-driven food and the kind of warm, accessible events that will draw everyone together around the table. She tends to stay away from fussy foams and essences, because what makes Chef Kirsten happy is blending bold flavors with the freshest, local ingredients to create food that is both beautiful and surprisingly accessible. A veteran of Mario Batali's famous Babbo, in New York City, Chef Kirsten is plenty familiar with upscale Italian, handmade pasta, and the frenetic buzz of the restaurant world. But her true muse is the bounty and style of Northern California, where she grew up ad where she's returned to share her love of all things delicious. Chef Kirsten's favorite kind of food is the kind that can be served family-style, over lively conversation, laughter, and an all-around good time. Her food philosophy is reflected in her menus, which tend to feature bright colors (heirloom tomato and cucumber salad, anyone?, contrasting yet complementary flavors (pimenton-spiked polenta, perhaps?), and the kinds of dishes that you'll crave any time of the day, week, or year (how about juicy steak with grilled scallions and tarragon-caper butter?). If you're looking for honest-to-goodness, California-style cuisine with a bit of spunk and flair, look no further - Chef Kirsten has you covered!

BIO
I'm a Bay Area girl who loves to cook. I have worked in San Francisco, New York City, and Europe, and then finally settled down right back where I started. I feel lucky to be in a place with access to meticulously grown vegetables, heritage meats, the Pacific Ocean, and all the artisan products that come from the Bay Area.
BOLD FLAVORS, LIVING IN HARMONY
I like salt and lime, chili and honey, pumpkin and bitter greens.
